My dream is to help all equestrians train like the athletes they are because I’ve seen the positive impact that strength & fitness training, eating (mostly) right, and setting goals has had on my riding, my corporate career, my confidence, and my life.
My fitness journey began as a kid trying all of the sports but of course, riding was my favorite.
I discovered strength training in college and immediately saw an improvement in my riding as I competed on the USC Equestrian Team. When I took time off riding as I was starting my corporate career, it was my foundation in strength and fitness that made my transition back into the saddle easier and allowed me to be competitive in the show ring even when I was only able to ride once a week.
I understand how overwhelming health and fitness can be. I’ve tried every group workout class, fitness app, DVD program, and even some VHS tapes...what can I say, I’m an 80s kid!
I found myself left with a lack of confidence that I was getting balanced workouts, targeted to my goals as an equestrian, that used my time efficiently. So I built programs for myself.
I enjoyed it so much, I decided to get my Personal Trainer Certification (NASM-CPT) and start Equestrian Fitness.
Now I’m beyond excited to share my learnings with you so can be confident that you are doing everything you can to ride your best and be the best teammate for your horse.
I live, work, and ride in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, Patrick, and our sweet pittie mixes, Lola and Nana.
During the craziness of 2020, I did my own crazy thing and bought a young pinto warmblood named Charlie. I'm obsessed with pintos! My goal is to compete with him in the equitation and medals, but for now, you can find us in the jumper ring at Sonoma Horse Park and other West Coast US shows. Follow our adventures together on Insta @goodhorsecharlie.
Much horsey love,
Courtney Prince Juron
